Helicopter Route Raster Charts are scanned images of three-color Helicopter Route charts that depict current aeronautical information useful to helicopter pilots navigating in areas with high concentrations of helicopter activity. Information depicted includes helicopter routes, four classes of heliports with associated frequency and lighting capabilities, NAVAIDS, and obstructions. In addition, pictorial symbols, roads, and easily-identified geographical features are portrayed. Since helicopter charts have a longer life span than other FAA products, all new editions of these charts will be printed on synthetic paper. These charts are updated as requested by the Federal Aviation Administration
The files are 200 dots per inch and 8-bit color. The product is provided as a TIFF and available for public viewing from this website. As each paper Helicopter chart is updated its digital equivalent is updated and available for viewing from this website. Please ensure you are using the most current chart by refering to the chart legend.
These scans have no associated geo-referencing information.
Download Helicopter Route charts in zip format containing one or more TIF files.
Files which are in the .zip format will need to be uncompressed using an unzip utility.
Follow the instructions to install the ZIP utility program on your computer.
Note: The names of the individual Helicopter files will have spaces in them after they are unzipped. This may cause problems for users who are not using a Windows operating system. If you are using an operating system other than Windows you may need to rename the files by omitting the spaces.
Should you discover or encounter an error in any of our products, you are encouraged to contact us immediately.
